Tots & Twos

Class Description

In this parent-child class recommended for ages 18 - 36 months, we invite curious kiddos to explore different STEM topics through age-appropriate hands-on activities each week. After a short circle time, kids explore open-ended, taste-safe sensory stations designed engage little minds! Tots & Twos includes 30 minutes of guided instruction time and an hour of open play. Caregivers must stay with their child for the duration of the class. Our session begins at the listed time with 15 minutes of open play so that children can warm up to the space. Then we will move into the classroom and do guided activities for 30 minutes, ending with 45 minutes of open play in the play space. Need to cancel? Please call or email us 24 hours before the start time of the class to be eligible for a credit. If you have a class package, you may contact us to cancel any time before the start of the class. October Classes: 🚧 Construction (week of 9/30): Beep beep! Get ready to make tracks in the mud, build and destruct, and drive trucks through the building site as we get messy in our construction themed class! 🧪 Potions (week of 10/7): Get ready to make some bubbly concoctions as you mix and pour colorful, kid-safe chemicals for some surprising results! 🤖 Robots (week of 10/14): Get ready for robot rumpus as we use robots to draw on paper, navigate mazes, build towers, and zoom across the room! 🎃 Pumpkins (week of 10/21): Dig through pumpkins to find seeds, practice hammering into pumpkins, compare pumpkins by size and weight, and roll pumpkins down ramps! 👻 Spooky STEM (week of 10/28): Get busy with bubbling cauldrons, dissolving ghosts, weaving spider webs and more in this fun and zany Halloween-themed class!⁠ [There will be no classes on Weds, 10/30 due to our Halloween party that morning!] November Classes: 🖐️ Touchy- Feely STEM (week of 11/4): Get messy as we explore our sense of touch! Dig through rainbow spaghetti, experiment with weight and temperature, tickle your fingers through foam, velvet, and fur and let your toes explore a barefoot sensory walk! ⚙️ Simple Machines (week of 11/11): Get "ramped" up as we investigate pulleys, inclined planes, screws, levers, gears, and wheels & axles in this fun hands-on engineering class! 🍁 Leaves & Seeds (week of 11/18): Float leaves through the wind tunnel and rake them into piles, pluck seeds out of sunflower heads, shake and experiment with dried gourds, and make leaf prints in this fun fall STEM class!
