For ages 6 - 14 months

Mondays @ 11:30

In this caregiver-child class, we explore all sorts of sensory play to help your baby’s brain and senses develop! Each class, led by our experienced educators, features songs, rhymes, and sensory experiences to give you all sorts of ideas for interacting with your baby to foster healthy brain development. Babies and caregivers will have an opportunity to socialize with other children and adults and have fun making a mess without worrying about cleaning it up!

FEB 2: 🧠 HUMAN BODY Sing about our heads, shoulders, knees & toes and squish jiggly jello organs!

FEB 9: 💗 VALENTINE’S STEM Sing songs to your little love and play with plastic hearts floating in pink taste-safe foam!

FEB 16: 🌀 PLAYFUL PATTERNS Explore baby’s sense of sight & touch with clapping and rhythm songs and by rolling patterned tools through ground oats for tactile pattern play!

FEB 23: 👃 FOLLOW YOUR NOSE Let’s get these babies sniffing away! After signing songs about smell we will get messy with warm water, herbal tea, and fresh citrus as we activate our senses in this “scent-sational” class.

MARCH 2: 🪺 BIRDS, NESTS & EGGS Sing songs about birds, and scoop cooked ramen into little nests as we build homes for our feathered friends.

MARCH 9: 🚗 THINGS THAT GO: Get moving and explore STEM in motion! Sing favorite songs about things that go and watch cars roll down different ramps as we explore force & motion!

March 16: 🐣 WELCOME SPRING Get ready for spring as we sing about flowers blooming and splash around in a mini pond with plastic ducks!

MARCH 23: ⚖️ BALANCING Our beginning crawlers and walkers will already know how important balance is as we sing and dance about staying upright! Experiment with a simple balance scale full of cooked pasta shells.

MARCH 30 & APR 1: 🧪 SCIENCE SURPRISES Let’s sing fun songs with a dash of suspense and watch babies wonder as we whisk up bubbles and blow them across the room!

April 6: 🪩 REFLECTION & MIRRORS Explore your babies visual senses and foster self-awareness as we sing songs about peeking at our reflections and play with all sorts of sparkly mirrored toys & objects!

April 13: 🥕 VEGGIES & GARDEN Sing songs about seeds and growing things and splash around in water as we trickle it over plastic plants & vegetables.

April 20: 📦️ BOX BONANZA Learn a “Jack-in-the-Box” action song and scoop and fill all sorts of boxes and tins with cooked couscous as we experiment with volume & capacity.

April 27: 🐞 BUGS Get your tickles in with silly bug songs and squish through green spaghetti “grass” to find the big plastic bugs hiding inside!

In this caregiver-child class, we invite curious toddlers to explore different STEM topics through age-appropriate hands-on activities each week. After a short circle time, kids explore open-ended, taste-safe sensory stations designed to engage little minds! Tots & Twos includes 30 minutes of Open Play and 30 minutes of guided instruction. Caregivers must stay with their child for the duration of the class.

FEB 3 & 4: 🧠 HUMAN BODY Learn more about what makes us tick as we listen to heartbeats, examine X-rays, inflate lungs, assemble skeletons, and make organs out of playdough!

FEB 10 & 11: 💗 VALENTINE’S STEM Spread the STEM love as we celebrate Valentine’s day with themed STEM activities including fizzy baking soda hearts, flying rose petals in the wind tunnel, coffee filter chromatography, and a rose petal rice sensory bin!

FEB 17 & 18: 🌀 PLAYFUL PATTERNS Delight your senses as make patterns with playdough, sand, crayons. colored beads, and light!

FEB 24 & 25: 👃 FOLLOW YOUR NOSE Investigate your sense of smell as we mix fresh herbs into play dough, draw on sandpaper with cinnamon sticks, activate tea bags with warm water, and play with a citrus sensory bin!

MARCH 3 & 4: 🪺 BIRDS, NESTS & EGGS Build nests, fill them with eggs, make a cereal bird feeder and watch feathers fly in the wind tunnel as we learn all about our winged friends!

MARCH 10 & 11: 🚗 THINGS THAT GO Get moving and explore STEM in motion! Roll cars, float boats, fly planes, twist cranks, and wind up toys as we experiment with all sorts of things that go.

March 17 & 18: 🐣 WELCOME SPRING Explore all the wonderful signs of spring as we learn through play. Collect eggs, take a closer look at flower buds, match mother and baby animals, and make pretend chicks chirp while we celebrate the spring equinox!

MARCH 24 & 25: ⚖️ BALANCING Test your motor skills as we stack and balance toys, pile rainbow chickpeas on balance scales, teeter on a balance beam, build egg towers, and hang objects from the ceiling!

MARCH 31 & APR 1: 🧪 SCIENCE SURPRISES Get ready to be amazed in this fun chemistry class! Pop bubbles, whisk up taste-safe foam, use chemical reactions to inflate balloons, paint with water and watch colors change before your eyes.

April 7 & 8: 🪩 REFLECTION & MIRRORS Explore all kinds of shiny stuff as we play with flashlights, dance under disco balls, scoop glittery treasures, shine lights on mirrors, draw on foil and more!

April 14 & 15: 🥕 VEGGIES & GARDEN Cut up veggies with kid-safe knives and look for seeds inside, make veggie prints in playdough, practice using watering cans, and wash real carrots in this fun hands-on STEM class!

April 21 & 22: 📦️ BOX BONANZA Build box forts, stack boxes, scoop & fill mini boxes with rainbow rice, and hide & seek surprises in this fun engineering class!

April 28 & 29: 🐞 BUGS Take a closer look at bugs & insects as we dig through a green noodle sensory bin, rescue bugs from a giant spider’s web, catch butterflies flying in the wind tunnel and watch giant hexbugs wiggle their way through a maze!

For ages 3 - 5

Our Mini Makers class gives preschoolers the opportunity to explore STEM concepts through play! After an introduction with a read aloud and a question for the day, kids jump into STEM learning with hands-on activities and wrap up with a process-oriented maker activity to take home. Caregivers must stay in the building but do not need to attend the class portion unless desired.

FEB 2 & 6: 🧠 HUMAN BODY Learn more about what makes us tick as we listen to heartbeats, examine X-rays, inflate lungs, assemble skeletons, and make organs out of playdough! Learn about how fingerprints are unique and make art with your fingerprints to take home.

FEB 9-13: 💗 VALENTINE’S STEM Spread the STEM love as we celebrate Valentine’s day with themed STEM activities including fizzy baking soda hearts, flying rose petals in the wind tunnel, coffee filter chromatography, and a rose petal rice sensory bin! Make a cute clothespin “love bug” to take home.

FEB 16-20: 🌀 PLAYFUL PATTERNS Explore visual and textured patterns as we make patterns with playdough, sand, crayons, colored beads, and light! Use patterned collage paper and washi tape to pair together a paper pattern quilt to take home.

FEB 23-27: 👃 FOLLOW YOUR NOSE Investigate your sense of smell as we mix fresh herbs into play dough, draw on sandpaper with cinnamon sticks, activate tea bags with warm water, and play with a citrus sensory bin! Test your smelling skills by matching scents and painting scratch and sniff art to bring home.

MARCH 2 & 6: 🪺 BIRDS, NESTS & EGGS Learn about different birds & their adaptations including nest types, beak shape, diet and colors! Learn which bird makes a nest with its own spit and make your own papier-mâché to mimic the process!

MARCH 9 & 13: 🚗 THINGS THAT GO Investigate force & motion as we roll cars, float boats, fly planes, twist cranks, and launch rockets. Use makerspace supplies to personalize your own rolling box car!

March 16 & 20: 🐣 WELCOME SPRING Investigate signs of spring as we collect eggs, examine flower buds, match mother and baby animals, and make pretend chicks chirp, then create a flowering spring branch to take home.

MARCH 23 & 27: ⚖️ BALANCING Experiment with weight and levers as we investigate different balancing toys & games, compare weights with scales, balance our bodies on stepping stones and create a collaborative hanging mobile! Use makerspace supplies to build a “balancing buddy” to take home.

MARCH 30 & APR 3: 🧪 SCIENCE SURPRISES Jump into kid-friendly chemistry as we pop bubbles, whisk up taste-safe foam, use chemical reactions to inflate balloons, and experiment with pH indicators before we make our own marbled “magic milk” print.

April 6 & 10: 🪩 REFLECTION & MIRRORS Learn about the science of light as we play with lights, dance under disco balls, scoop glittery treasures, and shine lights on mirrors. Make your own CD collage suncatcher!

April 13 & 17: 🥕 VEGGIES & GARDEN Learn about plant life cycles and some of the vegetables we eat as we cut up veggies with kid-safe knives, practice using watering cans, wash real carrots, and make our own art prints using real veggies as stamps!

April 20 & 24: 📦️ BOX BONANZA Become a “boxitect” as we build box forts, learn how to use special tools to cut and attach cardboard, stack boxes into high towers and design & construct your own “not a box” to take home!

April 27 & May 1st: 🐞 BUGS Learn about bug types and their role in our ecosystem as we find the bugs hiding in a green noodle sensory bin, catch butterflies flying in the wind tunnel, match bug picture puzzles and build bug habitats. Mini Makers will learn about symmetry and make a butterfly suncatcher to take home.
