Mini Makers

Class Description

Our Mini Makers class for ages 3-6 takes STEM exploration a step further! After a circle time with songs and a read aloud , kids jump into STEM learning with hands-on activities and wrap up with a maker activity to take home! This class includes 45 minutes of guided instruction and 45 minutes of open play. Caregivers must stay in the building but do not need to attend the class portion. Mini Makers begins with 15 minutes of caregiver-supervised open play (from 3:30-3:45), then moves into our classroom for the guided activity (3:45-4:30), and concludes with 30 more minutes of caregiver-supervised open play (4:30-5:00). Need to cancel? Please call or email us 24 hours before the start time of the class to be eligible for a credit. If you have a class package, you may contact us to cancel any time before the start of the class. *Check our Instagram or Facebook page for class previews posted on Sundays!* April Classes: 🪩 Reflection & Mirrors (week of 4/1): Explore shiny stuff and experiment with flashlights, mylar, foil, colored lights and disco balls as we learn about how light bounces and reflects off mirrors! 🪺 Birds, Nests & Eggs (week of 4/8): Build nests, fill them with eggs, make a bird feeder and watch feathers fly in the wind tunnel as we learn all about our flying friends! 🌐 Playful Patterns (week of 4/15): Explore visual and textured patterns as we push shoes into play dough, match animal prints, make patterns in sand, string beads, and play with giant pattern blocks! 🌳 Trees & Leaves (week of 4/22): Celebrate Earth Day & Arbor Day as we make bark rubbings, punch holes in leaves, build trees with loose parts, and match leaves in this fun nature-themed STEM class. ⚖️ Balancing (week of 4/29): Experiment with fine motor skills and measurement tools as we balance scales, teeter on stepping stones and make egg towers! May Classes: 🐸 Life In The Pond (week of 5/6): Learn about frogs, dragonflies, lily pads and fish as we get mucky exploring pond life! 📦️ Box Bonanza (week of 5/13): Build box forts, stack boxes, play with packing peanuts, and hide & seek surprises in this fun engineering class! 🐝 Busy Bees (week of 5/20): Make bee prints in honey play dough, explore how bees move pollen, transfer nectar and build a hive as we learn why bees are so important. 🥬 Veggies & Garden (week of 5/27): Water the garden, make veggie prints, wash carrots and dig for seeds in this fun hands-on STEM class!
