SEPTEMBER 30: CONSTRUCTION 🚧 Learn about building and demolition as we build walls with cardboard bricks and knock them down with an inflatable wrecking ball, drive trucks through a dirt sensory bin, practice tools skills and work with pulleys. Mini Makers will use hammers and paint to make construction site process art to take home! STEM Club participants will also experiment with measuring tapes, Lincoln Logs, and construction site loose parts.
OCTOBER 7: POTIONS 🧪 Learn about chemical reactions as we mix and pour all kinds of kid-safe potions. Experiment with changing colors, dissolving materials, bubbles, and baking soda and vinegar and then make your own potion sensory bottle to take home! We will also play around with building molecular models, catch & pop bubbles from a bubble machine, and play around with potion loose parts!
OCTOBER 14: ROBOTS 🤖 Play and experiment with all sorts of kid-friendly robots as we learn basic coding techniques! Draw pictures with a scribble bot, build a maze for hexbugs, assemble robots with building sets, sprinkle crumbs for a robot vacuum to suck up and play with all of our play space robots! We will pretend to be robots and practice giving each other commands to move through a grid. Think outside the box and make your own jointed cardboard robot to take home!
OCTOBER 21: PUMPKINS 🎃 Compare and contrast real pumpkins and practice math skills as we weigh and measure, use geometric shapes to make pumpkin faces, hammer golf tees into pumpkins and tickle our fingers through a pumpkin patch sensory bin. Use paper punches to create your own pumpkin shadow puppets! Get busy in our play space moving pumpkins on our conveyor belt and playing with pumpkin & fall loose parts.
OCTOBER 28: SPOOKY STEM 👻 Celebrate Halloween with a little STEM fun as we experiment with fizzing ghosts, assemble skeletons, weave spider webs and mix up some spooky brews! We will also build monster faces with loose parts, climb through a giant spider web, and make cool wax resist “ghost” art.

NOVEMBER 4: MAGNETS 🧲 Do a little science magic as we investigate how magnets attract, repel, and move things without touching them! Make your own magnetic maze to take home. STEM Club will also include magnetic fort building and building magnetic cars!
NOVEMBER 11: TOUCHY-FEELY STEM 🖐️ Let’s investigate our sense of touch as we dig through rainbow spaghetti, experiment with weight and texture and let our toes explore a barefoot sensory walk! Use found materials to make a touch-based sensory collage to bring home and wake up your fingers with all sorts of fabric loose parts sprinkled throughout the play space!
NOVEMBER 18: FLOAT & FLY 🪁 Experiment with the forces of air and wind as we blow bubbles, test materials in the wind tunnel, use air to knock down towers, lift loads with balloons and build with suction cups! We will also build with giant air tubes, send plastic discs flying through the play space, and practice folding and flying paper airplanes! Kids will use straws and paper to make their own zippy glider to take home.
SC: NOVEMBER 25: LEAVES & SEEDS 🍁 Learn about why leaves change colors, sort and match different types of leaves and seeds, and jump into leaf piles, then rake them back up! We’ll also get a little silly building turkey towers and using dice to program our own turkey trot! Kids will use real & paper leaves to make a “leaf man” art project to take home.
