NOVEMBER 4: MAGNETS 🧲 Do a little science magic as we investigate how magnets attract, repel, and move things without touching them! Make your own magnetic maze to take home. STEM Club will also include magnetic fort building and building magnetic cars!

NOVEMBER 11: TOUCHY-FEELY STEM 🖐️ Let’s investigate our sense of touch as we dig through rainbow spaghetti, experiment with weight and texture and let our toes explore a barefoot sensory walk! Use found materials to make a touch-based sensory collage to bring home and wake up your fingers with all sorts of fabric loose parts sprinkled throughout the play space!

NOVEMBER 18: FLOAT & FLY 🪁 Experiment with the forces of air and wind as we blow bubbles, test materials in the wind tunnel, use air to knock down towers, lift loads with balloons and build with suction cups! We will also build with giant air tubes, send plastic discs flying through the play space, and practice folding and flying paper airplanes! Kids will use straws and paper to make their own zippy glider to take home.

SC: NOVEMBER 25: LEAVES & SEEDS 🍁 Learn about why leaves change colors, sort and match different types of leaves and seeds, and jump into leaf piles, then rake them back up! We’ll also get a little silly building turkey towers and using dice to program our own turkey trot! Kids will use real & paper leaves to make a “leaf man” art project to take home.

DECEMBER 2: Simple Machines ⚙️ Learn about the six simple machines and how they make work easier as we investigate pulleys, inclined planes, screws, levers, gears, and wheels & axles in this fun hands-on engineering class! Make your own wheel and axle project to take home.

DECEMBER 9: LET IT GLOW 🔆 Explore the science of light as we make it through the longest nights of the year! Build glowing structures, play with flashlights & shadows, splash around with glowing toys in water and hop on light-up stepping stones as we bright light to the dark. Make a glass gem suncatcher to take home!

DECEMBER 16: WELCOME WINTER ❄️ Explore plant & animal adaptations to cold weather as we learn about how animals hibernate, make instant-snow for an arctic sensory bin, take a closer look at evergreen leaves and defrost frozen hibernating frogs! Make snowflake art with frozen watercolors to take home.

JANUARY 6: SOUNDS LIKE FUN 🪇 Learn about the science of sound as we experiment with pitch, volume and rhythm! Try different musical instruments, guess mystery sounds, use kitchen utensils to test out how different pots and pans sound and engineer your own shaker to bring home.

JANUARY 13: Rocks, Fossils & Volcanoes 🌋 Learn about different kinds of rocks and how they form form as we use playdough to make model fossils, take a closer look at geodes on the light table, sift through sand in a model fossil dig, and experiment with kid-safe volcanic eruptions! Make your own sparkling watercolor geode to take home.

JANUARY 20: FAIRYTALES 🏰 The Gingerbread Man, Rapunzel, Jack, and The Billy Goats Gruff need our help! Use catapults, parachutes, slides and building skills to solve problems for these familiar friends. Make a an optical illusion toy to turn a frog into a price!

JANUARY 27: GROUNDHOG DAY & WEATHER Learn about the science of weather and making predictions as we read about this wacky holiday and construct different cloud types, build a groundhog den, and experiment with rain, wind & model tornados! Make your own groundhog shadow puppet to take home.

Ready to book STEM Club?

STEM Club participants must be potty independent and between the ages of 3-5.

 

We encourage families to book our monthly registration option to help kids build relationships and foster a sense of community. Monthly registration also offers the best value! Single sessions are also available.
